Souls Fire by Shawna Plaine

Eagerly awaiting your infamous return,
In the darkness I hide my true feeling for you,
knowing that you will vanish from my sight,
A life that means more than time,
a hidden drive pulls me forward,
and in my grasp is happiness,
how do I approach, how do I begin,
the darkness rising out of me
the life force that is, driving me forward,
makes me begin to believe,

Darkness, dreaming, fire reaching,
Dragging me down,
Living, believing, hoping, dreaming,
Darkness dragging me down,
Dying in the light, Souls fire.

In my most hidden dreams,
rising from the clouds I see a light,
the darkness surrounding me,
the pain from my heart screams out,
as the darkness closes me in.
I am now lost
I am engulfed in flames
my life force is sucked away,
as I run from the darkness,
life holds no meaning for me,
as you turn away from my face,
your back is to me,
and the darkness engulfs my soul,

Darkness, Dreaming, fire reaching,
Dragging me down,
Living, believing, hoping, dreaming,
Darkness dragging me down.
Dying in the light, souls fire.

Shall I die as I cry out in the night,
why do you turn away?
Do I deserve this treatment by you?
What have I done?
I carry the flame deep inside
and I hide it away from my mind,
deep in my heart I bleed for your love,
and deep in my heart I know
that you were never mine,
but something for me to see,
And understand the difference in darkness and light,
The cold seeps in and I am alone,
the darkness is now Complete.

Carry me home, Wipe away the tears,
Hold me close to you,
Never let me go,
Because I need pieces of your soul,
Wash away the pain,
Bring me happiness,
Make me smile again,
I had to let him go,
I couldn't bear the darkness raising in me,
Please don't let me go,
Hold me close to you,
Carry me home with you,
Make me change my mind,
Make new memories,
Make the sun shine,
Keep me from crying out,
Bring me hope again,
I let you see,
Small pieces of me,
Do you love me enough,
To wash away the pain?
Can you change my heart,
And make me hope again?
Put my fears to rest,
Never let me go,
Bring me out of the darkness,
And carry me home.
