Vagabond's Vision #34 by Felino Soriano

"The neck of that sleeping swan
resembled a leaning umbrella."
-a passerby

Indeed, an immaculate
creature, beyond vernacular
of my tongue's timid call,
sitting, slightly leaning
against invisible paneled
wall.
An absolute
rendition
of Autumn's following
covering
of its many feathers and total
aquatic stillness.
The route of its future
unknown
and would render
me false prophet
to proclaim.
I
leaped toward undulating bush,
imitating opposite
movements
of imperturbable
sleeping swan.

Bio: Felino Soriano lives in California and is employed as a behavioral assistant.  This wonderful profession allows him to counsel, care for and learn from developmentally disabled adults.  He considers classic jazz a muse.
