Out of Her Mouth like a Cork  by Sonja Phinney

Crossing the road like a heavy current,
She cut a hole in her dress where the cigarette ran through it;
Laughing with the headlights on in the rain.
Who once said: "You have to try everything once."
Would be here for only a limited time
Disillusion's blood stain.

Our celebration in her passing,
Lets off like a cork escaping into the atmosphere.

Her tears in your eyes
Sing a lover's song.

You know, that girl lived in a medicine chest
Fingers caught up in the pill box
Devil coated captures

She had dug the grave of her father's
And wore his shirt
As her life drifted away on a crushed white pillow.

Friends watched as money vanished
It didn't make a cent.

You saw a resemblance of her in the mannequin shop?
So, this is your paradise lost??
