Continuity by Phillip A. Ellis

I dreamt and remembered
   another town, in the distance
of time that's forgotten,

and, visiting briefly
   and car-clad, recently, found I
had changed, yet continued.

Travelling North by Phillip A. Ellis

Travelling north
in a train. I am
reading graffiti, faded,
and you can see me
here. Look, through glass,
past Thirroul, and I am
dreaming poetry. We are
dreaming poetry. We are
past Thirroul, and I am
here. Look, through glass,
and you can see me
reading graffiti, faded,
in a train. I am
travelling north.

Bio: Phillip A. Ellis is an external student of the University of New England, Australia. He is majoring in English, and is applying for a   Summer Research Scholarship at the Australian National University, to study Christopher Brennan. He recently attended a colloquium at Sydney University, about French and Australian literature, focusing on the poetry of Brennan and Mallarme, and derived the core poems for a chapbook of poetry, predicated on the train ride from Wollongong to Sydney at night, for possible publication.
